Marc Karzen runs RelishMix, Hollywood's leading digital/social media creative analytics boutique focused on strategies for movies, TV shows and entertainment networks.

Marc has been an early mover in digital production, to the dotcom video explosion, the social entertainment revolution to the “streaming re-stacking” of Hollywood.

Karzen’s work in production began at NBC on LATE NIGHT WITH DAVID LETTERMAN where he shot the award winning iconic bumpers for eleven years, plus on-air photos and film-unit work on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE. He’s also worked in production for shows on FOX, CBS, E!, Tribune, The CW, truTV, Telepictures, FOX Sports and FX — and on promos as associate creative director at Jacobs & Gerber and art director at Grey Entertainment. Theatrical campaigns include projects for Paramount, Columbia, Buena Vista, Warner Bros. and multiple creative trailer shops.

In TV network marketing, Karzen has worked on campaigns for ABC, CBS, FOX, Paramount Domestic, Columbia TV, Warner TV, Disney Channel, UPN launch, HA! launch, Studios USA, Spike, AMC, Vh1, HBO, MTV, Animal Planet and for many production companies.

While building RelishMIX, Karzen has delivered social marketing strategies and theatrical tracking for Universal, Disney, Sony, Warner Bros., Hulu, Paramount, Searchlight, Focus, UA, Roadside, Annapurna, Lionsgate — and for TV shows at Fox, CBS, ABC, Amazon, CMT, Animal Planet, MSNBC, The CW, SpikeTV, Vh1, OWN and Discovery.

Karzen’s career moves across mediums. He started and ran cutting-edge digital-tech companies including Q Studios (Digital Live Action), Karzen Communications (Motion Graphics), The Hatchery (Digital Previz for Commercials), Thunder Music (with Art Wright) and Saddletude (digital network for Equestrian Sports, funded by Ash Capital). Pre-YouTube, Karzen hand-built intranet clip approval systems for his network produced TV shows.

As a photographer, Karzen shot music for Rolling Stone Magazine, CBS Records, EMI — fashion for Mademoiselle, Seventeen, Glamour, GQ, WWD in NYC and Depeche Mode, 20ans, Votre Beaute, Marie-Claire in Paris — Harpers & Queen, Company in London — and was syndicated with Gamma-Liaison and Outline Press Images.

Karzen’s work has been nominated for an Emmy, contributed to 12 Emmy Awards, 31 Emmy nominations and worked on Oscar nominated pictures — also, recognized by the Broadcast Designers Association, Cannes Lions Festival, Chicago Film Festival, Art Directors Club of NY, Telly Awards, NY Int’l Film & Television and Promax.

Karzen guest speaks at university film schools including AFI, UCLA, USC, Carnegie Mellon and Chapman.
